Google BigQuery Training

Our Google BigQuery Kickstarter course is designed for digital marketing teams as well as data analysts and engineers who are looking to get to grips with the plethora of functionality available in BigQuery and the wider Google Cloud Platform tools.

We start by introducing the Google Cloud Platform, including integrations and costs. You’ll then learn how to load and manage data and get hands-on experience creating views and writing queries.

What to expect

Our team training courses are relaxed and informal, covering a lot of ground in a fun and stimulating way. The course is delivered remotely over two, 3-hour sessions to help you maintain focus and avoid information overload.

You don’t need to bring any of your own data, but you may benefit from being able to look at your data and navigate BigQuery on a second screen. We set aside plenty of time for questions about your instance and use cases.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the course aimed at?
If you are looking to use Google BigQuery in your steps towards creating a truly scalable data warehouse, this course is for you and your team.
What are the course timings?
Our courses are split into two 3-hour long sessions, each covering two modules of content. They can be scheduled in at any time of the day – so whatever works for you! We ideally leave a day or week between the sessions so that the content can be fully digested and put to use, and any questions can be brought into subsequent sessions.
Do I need a Google BigQuery account?
You don’t need a BigQuery / GCP account to attend the course as we will provide you with examples and take you through the features and reports covered in the course content. However, if you have access to an account already, you’d be able to look your own data and get a better understanding on where the gaps might be.
What do I do if I’m running late?
If you are just running late or can’t join for some reason don’t worry! All training sessions are recorded and shared after the course has been completed.
What happens if I need to cancel?
If you want to cancel or postpone the course, please check our cancellation policy below. Or you can also drop us a line at training@measurelab.co.uk ** Cancellation policy: ** Refunds and transfers can be requested up to 7 days before the event.
Can we customise the course to suit our specific needs?
Yes, we do all we can to ensure the content is tailored to the current level of understanding of the team. If there are specific areas you want to cover we can change up the sessions to skim over some areas and go deep on others, or even mix and match modules from different courses.
Can team members choose which sessions they join?
If someone already knows the basics, it may make sense for them to skip the fundamentals and join the later modules. Similarly, someone who’s not going to be hands-on in the tool may want to understand the concepts but not the practicalities of day-to-day use.

What people say

Excellent training. Hands on and practical. Sitting in a room actually going through the reports and doing real examples in the GA account made it so much easier to understand. One of the best and most useful training courses I have been on.
This was incredibly useful, thank you. I found the sections on API particularly useful, and I think it was good to have this in the afternoon, building on the work of the morning. Pitched at the right level, and all questions were answered really well. Thank you!
It is pretty rare to find a trainer so knowledgeable AND articulate… Thank you for a great session, it will take time to process everything we’ve learn but this was amazing. Thanks!
Very interesting teardown of some fundamental issues around GA setup that can heavily skew interpretation, and how to best tackle those.
The training was excellent and very beneficial to the team.
Dan (our teacher) knew pretty much everything. He could’ve been smug, but he was thoughtful, comprehensive and spoke with great clarity. Good work!

Pricing and payment

Training courses cost £1,600 +VAT for two 3-hour sessions run over the course of a week.

There’s no official limit on the number of attendees but we’ve found any more than 10 people in a session becomes impractical.

Once dates are confirmed, we invoice for the total cost with payment due on receipt.
